With Our Services
Setups
A good professional setup is the most overlooked upgrade for your guitar. It improves playability, eliminates fret buzz, promotes ease of fingering and restores accurate pitch.
Setups typically include adjustments to nut slot depth, truss rod, string height, intonation, tremelo tension, fret polishing and fingerboard conditioner.
Repairs
Including (but not limited to) fret leveling, re-crowning, replacement, bridge replacement, binding repair, replacement of broken parts and pretty much whatever your instrument needs.
Modifications
This scenario is when we make custom changes that push the guitar beyond it’s factory potential and design. It could be a simple tuner machine upgrade or something more complex like re-wiring, better pickups, controls and other electronics. Whatever changes you have in mind, we will be happy to take a look at it and offer our input.

Who we are
I am James “Jimmy” Eckley and I have a small shop located in Central Pennsylvania. I am the sole owner of J Tek Guitars USA. The shop was once a 3 space garage that is attached to my house. I have been doing guitar repair work since I was a teenager (Long ago) and I still do most of the work myself.Throughout the years I have successfully completed hundreds of setups, repairs and modifications.
